Lumbo TriStep® | 50R30
In case of severe pain or after an operation to stabilise the lumbar spine, the patient's mobility has to be restored in a targeted, step-by-step process. This is achieved by the Lumbo TriStep®. Individual elements can be removed, allowing for a systematic, three-step lumbar spine rehabilitation process.
Indications:
The support provided by the orthosis is reduced during every stage, while mobility is increased systematically at the same time. The aim of the Lumbo TriStep® is to restore the muscular equilibrium in the lumbar spine area.
1st therapy stage:
Goal: Bypassing the operated structures in a lordosis corrected posture in order to protect and stabilise them. The Lumbo TriStep® bypasses the affected segments, providing for relatively restricted mobility in a lordosis corrected posture.
2nd therapy stage:
Goal: Stabilising the lumbar spine and rebuilding the musculature. During this stage the orthosis is adjusted to match the improved muscle coordination. Lordosis of the lumbar spine is restored almost completely by removing the bypass element. The patient's mobility is increased at the same time, promoting natural muscle function.
3rd therapy stage:
Goal: Supporting lumbar muscle stabilisation and coordination. The supporting element is removed as muscle strength increases. The orthosis compresses and supports the lumbar region musculature. A support can be used during this stage in order to provide a massaging effect, promoting circulation and muscle function.
The particularly lightweight and slim design ensures a high degree of wearer comfort. The Lumbo TriStep® is easy to don, and fitting and stepwise removal of elements are also fast and easy. The innovative segmented structure of the stabilising plastic elements is also particularly lightweight, stable, and at the same time flexible. The individual elements are auto-adaptive and adjust to fit the body very well. Circumference and compression can be adjusted individually using various widths of hook-and-loop side elements. The fabric of the Lumbo TriStep® is divided into zones, providing more compression at the waist.A.
The Lumbo TriStep® proves that medical functionality and attractive design don't conflict. It has won numerous prestigeous design awards.
