The BORT Stabilo® Epicondylitis Brace is a special brace designed to counter ‘tennis/golf elbow’.
This is where overstraining leads to irritation of the tendon attachments. Wearing the epicondylitis brace approx. 5 cm below the elbow joint on the lower arm provides relief to this area. This is achieved by the compression of the lower arm muscular system at its widest point below the elbow without restricting the circulation of blood in the lower arm.

Instructions for use:

Fit the epicondylitis brace from the outside in so that the larger pelotte rests on the upper side of the lower arm, offset slightly towards medial (to the centre of the body).
A correctly tted epicondylitis brace provides relief to the tendon attachments of the extensor muscles on the outer side of the elbow and to the tendon attach- ments of the exor muscles on the inner side of the elbow. The epicondylitis brace should only be worn during manual activities. It is not suitable for use as a resting splint.

Indications:

Epicondylitis, chronic or recurrent epicondylopathy, tendopathies, overstraining, so-called ‘tennis-/golf elbow’.

Contraindications:

Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD), lymphatic drainage disorders and indistinct soft tissue swellings remote from the applied aid, sensory loss and blood ow disorders in the affected body part, skin disorders in the treated part of the body.
