- The Malleo Neurexa is an ankle-foot orthosis with freely movable ankle joints and dynamic tension. It was developed for patients who need an orthosis for an unstable ankle joint with slight drop foot.
Characteristics:
- Light stabilisation of the ankle joint with freely movable joints – no limitation of the ROM
- Foot slides easily in and out from the back – even using only one hand
- Dynamic supination (pronation) strap for correcting the supination (or pronation) position and guiding the foot to the neutral position
- Padding with integrated strap for left or right- handed users – easy to adapt to the user’s needs
- Just two sizes cover EU shoe sizes 36–48 – for either the left or right foot, and the sole can be trimmed to size
Indications:
- drop foot (minor impairment of the dorsiflexor muscles in the leg), e.g. triggered by stroke,
- traumatic brain injury,
- multiple sclerosis,
- neural muscular atrophy,
- peroneal paralysis.
How it works?
The Malleo Neurexa is an ankle-foot orthosis with freely movable ankle joints and dynamic tension. It was developed for patients who need an orthosis for an unstable ankle joint with slight drop foot. It dynamically returns the foot to the neutral position, adjustable in four increments. Plantar flexion is limited by an elastic strap (supination or pronation strap).
Thanks to its special design, the Malleo Neurexa is easier to put on and provides more stability to the ankle joint, adapted to the requirements of neurorehabilitation.
