Hi! Doesn't wearing the bunion toe spreader in a shoe make the space within the shoe feel narrower? It feels this way to me and I wonder if I am doing something wrong or if I should not wear this product with shocks in the shoe. But this is how I was told to use it by the merchant who sold it to me. Do you have any suggestions? Makinf the space within the show narrower even by a few mm shouldn't this be harmful for the bunion? My question I guess boils down to this: am I doing worse instead of correcting my bunion by using this product? I would be grateful if you respond to me.

First of all - your shoes should be wide. It doesn`t matter that person wear socks or not. That kind of orthosis always takes the space in forefoot area so narrow footwear is not suitable.
Birkenstock‘s isoles are narrow or wide - if you have problem with big toe you have to wear more comfortable shoes.
