Features & Benefits:
Indications:
Closing the closures and applying the bracing elements:
Please ensure that the Foot Levator Orthotic Device is correctly positioned on the foot before closing the Velcro bracing elements.
The Foot Levator Orthotic Device must be positioned correctly on the heel. For an effecient running of the bracing elements, the seams along the back of the foot as well as in the heel area must run centrally.Important: When applying the Foot Levator Orthotic Device, the heel of the foot is to remain on the floor for the entire application procedure.
Step 1.
Place the foot on the floor and now place bracing elements A, B and C onto the floor as shown in the drawing.
Step 2.
Now close the Velcro closures located on the lower leg in the following order:
Adjust the tension of the Velcro closures of the Foot Levator Orthotic Device on the lower section if required in order to achieve a comfortable yet secure hold of the Foot Levator Orthotic Device
Step 3
Push the thigh or knee as far forward as possible. An angle from the foot to the lower leg amounting to between 20 and 30° is ideal.First guide bracing element A upwards in a vertical manner, then over the back of the foot, above the medial malleolus and around the lower leg whilst applying tension. Then secure the bracing element onto the hook element attached to the rear of the brace.
Step 4
Fasten bracing element B in the opposite direction to bracing element A. First guide bracing element B upwards in a vertical manner, then over the back of the foot, above the lateral malleolus and around the lower leg whilst applying tension. Then fasten bracing element B onto bracing element A via the hook element attached to the rear of the brace. Secure bracing element B on the hook element of hook A with as much alignment as possible in order to prevent stockings from becoming damaged.
Step 5.
Finally, guide the non-elastic bracing element C around the outer side of the lower leg whilst applying upward tension. In doing so, slightly lift the outer edge of the foot with the bracing element. Then fasten bracing element C to the velour Velcro area of the Foot Levator Orthotic Device.Important: bracing element C must run upwards in a vertical manner. It stabilises the ankle and should prevent the ankle from twisting outwards whilst walking.
